We value your trust and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Notice sets out how DMS and its partners, including PRIVASIA Technology Berhad (PRIVASIA) (collectively referred to as "DMS Partners", "us" or "we") process personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 ("PDPA") and the laws of Malaysia.

PERSONAL DATA

Personal data is defined in the PDPA and refers to any information that relates directly or indirectly to you, from which you may be identified, and includes sensitive personal data and expressions of opinion about you.

For the avoidance of doubt, please note that this Privacy Notice is applicable if you are a subscriber / customer of DMS, including a person trading as a sole trader or persons constituting a partnership or, if no longer a customer of DMS, where there are outstanding obligations either on your part or on DMS’ part.

This Privacy Notice also applies even if you are not one of our customers but you interact with us as part of our business, using one of our products and/or services, whether for free or paid for by you or a third party, taking part in a survey or trial, calling our helpdesk, or generally enquiring about our products and/or services.

COOKIES

Our website (along with many others) generates “cookies”, which are special files collected by our servers that identify you or your computer whenever you visit the site.

We collect information about your use of our websites from cookies. Cookies are packets of information stored in your computer or device which assist your website navigation by customising site information tailored to your needs. Cookies in themselves do not identify the individual user, just the computer or device used.

LOG INFORMATION

When you access DMS’s website, our web servers automatically records in a log information that your browser sends.

These server logs may include information such as your web request, internet protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser.

STORAGE SECURITY & DATA PROTECTION

DMS has put in place technology and standards to protect stored and transmitted personal information you give us. This includes encryption software and strict security standards. However, while we are committed to protecting your personal data, we do not guarantee unauthorised or accidental access to such data.

INFORMATION COLLECTED

DMS website does not automatically gather personal information that can identify you when you browse the site. Any personal information we receive must come from you, for instance when you send us e-mail or submit an electronic form during the course of registration, replying to a survey, making an application or executing a contract in a secured part of the website.

YOUR CONSENT

By giving us your personal information, you are giving us consent to collect, use and disclose your personal information under the terms of this policy and any relevant privacy and data protection laws in Malaysia. If you do not wish to give us this consent, then please do not use any of the electronic forms in our website.

TRANSFER OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA OUTSIDE MALAYSIA

We may transfer your personal data to places outside Malaysia including if the transfer is to our facilities that are located outside Malaysia or if any of our service providers or strategic partners who are involved in providing part of a DMS product and/or service or outsourced data storage or data processing services for and on behalf of us is located outside Malaysia or has servers and/or related equipment outside Malaysia or if you use the products and/or services from a country other than Malaysia.

You consent to us transferring your personal data to places outside Malaysia in these instances. We may also transfer your personal data to places outside Malaysia where permitted by law.

We may amend this Privacy Notice from time to time and the updated version shall apply and supersede any and all previous versions, including, leaflets or hard copy versions. You are encouraged to check our website and re-visit this Privacy Notice periodically for our most up-to-date Privacy Notice (as reflected by the date of the update set out at the top of this Privacy Notice).
